New American ambassador to Nepal

With the changing political situation in the country American President Barack Obama has also nominated Peter W Bodde as a new Ambassador to Nepal. Bodde will succeed incumbent Ambassador Scott H. DeLisi, who has been posted as the next US envoy to Uganda.
Newly appointed ambassador to Nepal Bodde is a career foreign service official who had earlier served in various countries with various capacities including Nepal, India and Pakistan. Currently Bodde is Assistant Chief of Mission for Assistance Transition in Iraq and Coordinator for Minority Issues at the US Embassy in Baghdad.
It is said that his arrival in Kathmandu would take about six months as his nomination as the ambassador is yet to approve from American parliament
