Churebhavar against ethno-federalism

KATHMANDU: Churebhabar Rastriya Ekata Party has warned of launching a nationwide agitation if efforts were made to impose ethnic-based federalism in the country.

The party would resort to any extreme to maintain an integrated Bhabar province, which has served as the backbone between Terai and the hills, stated at a press release issued by the party on Saturday.

The party has also demanded that the government and the Constituent Assembly (CA) remove Brahmins, Chhetris, Dasnami and Thakuri castes, which have occupied half of the total populace of the country, from the category of 'other' caste.
