Five killed, one and half dozen injured in Butwal bus accident

Kathmandu, Nepal—


At least five persons killed and one and half dozen persons injured as a speeding bus veered off and fell some 50 meters down from the road at Daunne of Nawalparasi district on Monday afternoon.


The ill-fated bus with number plate Lu 1 Kha 4094 was heading Butwal from Chitwan when the mishap occurred. Police and the local have initiated rescue operation but the identity of the deceased persons is yet to conform. Injured persons are rushed to Lumbini Zonal Hospital and Butwal City Hospital.
