various twenty-two political parties, including Nepali Congress (NC) and the CPN UML appealed to people from all walks of life to participate in a protest program called for June 8 at Khullamanch in the capital against’ the government’s unilateral move to hold CA election.

A joint meeting of all the parties held at the NC central office in Sanepa on Monday made the decision claiming that the Maoist-led government would have intended to capture the state power on the name of holding CA election, which is unconstitutional.
