PM Bhattrai and Maoist boss Prachanda called on Thapa and Khanal respectively

7th Jun :
Kathmandu, Nepal—

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai called on former prime minister Surya Bahadur Thapa to hold discussion on the issue of tackling the present political crisis.

It is said that PM Bhattarai urged Thapa to help create an atmosphere for consensus among political parties. During the meeting the duo had discussed on the issue of existing political and constitutional crisis.

Former Thapa had objected the government’s announcement to hold CA election again. It is impossible to hold election unless the parties forge consensus, Thapa had said. However, PM Bhattarai also defended the government´s announcement of fresh CA elections.

Likewise, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal also called on CPN-UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal to urge him to forge consensus among the political parties.
