Nepali Congress leaders vow party unity

NC President Shushil Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel felicitated the personalities during the program organized by Nepal Cultural Association.

Dr. Kedar Narsingh KC, Engineer Subodh Devkota, Cine artist Sunil Thapa and Jitu Nepal, Musician Shambhujit Banskota, Singer Ram Krishna Dhakal, Actress Garima Panta and Jharana Thapa, and noted artist Madan Das Shrestha, among others, were feted on the occasion.

During the program various artists performed a drama giving a message of unity that ´No ideology emerged in the country would affect the Nepali Congress when the leaders collectively come up with unity´.

Addressing the function, NC President Koirala said the party would respect demand of the Congress cadres that leaders trio should firmly stand together.

Noting that there was no alternative for the NC to move ahead together, the President claimed that the NC, the champion of democratic values and socialism, would get success to bring the Unified CPN (Maoist) to the democratic mainstream.

President Koirala further said the NC would do nothing that makes Nepali people to bow down their head. ´Voices are being raised from different quarters of life that nationality is getting weaker. The slogan of ´Jaya Nepal´ should be univocally abuzz from Himal to Terai. RSS
