Maoist influential leader underlines for consensus government

Kathmandu, Nepal -- UCPN (Maoist) Vice Chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai underlined the need that only the consensus government would be able to resolve the problem ahead of the country.


Dr. Bhattrai has made such a comment in the mean time when political parties including the UCPN Maoist are hell- bent to form a consensus government.


Maoist ideologue Dr Bhattrai has made such a comment while talking with United Nation Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) chief Karin Landgren on Thursday. Political parties should be engaged on forming a national consensus government rather than majority government, Bhattrai said there is only option before ahead is consensus.


In his meeting with United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) Chief Karin Landgren at his residence in Shantinagar today, Bhattarai said that a consensus government is necessary for concluding the twin task of peace process and statute drafting.


During the meeting the duo have also discussed about army integration process including other contending issues ahead of nation.
