Kathmandu, Nepal, January 11, 2022: The 301st Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day has been celebrated today across the country including in Kathmandu with various program.
A special program was organized in Kathmandu to mark the 301st Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day on Wednesday. The government has also announced a public holiday on Wednesday on the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti.
Various dignitaries including President Bidya Devi Bhandari garlanded on the statue of the late King Prithvi Narayan Shah placed in front of the Singha Durbar in Kathmandu.
A Nepal Army battalion paid homage and various traditional and cultural parades were also organized.
