Kathmandu, Nepal, March 3, 2020: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made a syrupy statement on Monday before he went to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for his kidney transplant. In a brief video message, the Prime Minister Oli said ‘no one is immortal, I will be back to work with new energy after surgery.’
I have spent most of my life in struggles like fighting against autocracy for democracy, safeguarding national sovereignty including my own ailments, Prime Minister Oli stated in the video message. During the message, he also vowed to realize the government's goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal Happy Nepali.’
Large numbers of leaders from the different political parties and the general public have expressed their best wishes for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery of Prime Minister Oli through various social media.
Likewise, Prime Minister Oli’s Indian counterpart Narendra Modi ha also extended best wishes for the speedy recovery.
‘My dear friend KP Oli ji, wishing you a successful surgery and a speedy recovery,’ Modi has wished further adding that May Lord Pashupatinath bless you always with good health, happiness and a very long life.
‘Look forward to your continued contribution to taking India-Nepal relations to new heights,’ Modi has stated in the message.
