Kathmandu, Nepal, February 22, 2022: With the ten more political parties registered at the Election Commission (EC) for the purpose of local level election scheduled for May 13, the number of political parties registered at EC has reached 109 so far.

Assistant Spokesperson of the EC Surya Prasad Aryal said during a press meet organized at the EC on Monday that Janata Pragatisheel Party Nepal, Nepal Loktantrik Party, Deshbhakta Samaj, Maulik Jarokilo Party, Janamat Party, Mangol National Organisation, Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal, Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party and Rastriya Nagarik Party have been registered lately at the EC. 

During the press meet, he also stated that final voters' name list and updated one list have been sent to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Sunday for publishing in the Nepal Gazette. 

The EC, however, has made an arrangement of making correction in the voter lists if any error in the details were noticed by filing application at the District Election Office along with recommendation of the concerned ward office.
