Kathmandu, Nepal, March 23: With the arrest of the senior leader of the Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), Hemanta Prakash Oli and eight others, new form of wave has emerged in the political front of the country.

As the government adopted stern measure against of the Biplav led CPN, political parties, intellectuals and general public seem afraid of another conflict in the country.

Police have arrested NCP leader Shanker Adhikari, Dev Ghimire, Dharma Raj Rajbahak, Ram Krishna Khatiwada, Bijaya Shrestha, Lalit Tamang, Sanjiv Karki and Lokendra Khadka at wee hours on Friday.

A joint team deployed from the special bureau, the central investigation bureau and the district police office of Kavre arrested them from Milche area of Khanikhola Rural Municipality-7 in Kavrepalanchok at around 4:50 am, Police source said.

It is said that the government has already arrested the security agencies to take stern action against of the outlawed Chanda led CPN.

As the incumbent NCP led government has adopted a stern measure against of the government, it is being suspected that dissatisfied Maoist cadres would lend support to the newly formed CPN to launch revolt in the country as claimed by the latter.
