Guwahati: At least six people of a family including a child girl and four women were killed after an Maruti Alto car, where they travelled was fell into a deep gorge from a bridge in lower Assam’s Nalbari district on Saturday evening.
The incident took place at Balikuchi area in the lower Assam district at around 8 pm.
According the reports, the incident happened while the family members of Samuram Talukdar had returned to home after taking part a religious function held at their relative house.
A local villager said that, Samruram Talukdar, who driving the vehicle had lost his control over the vehicle due to fog and fell into the deep gorge from a bridge.
Among the deceased persons, five were identified as Samuram Taludar, Boroda Talukdar, Rumi Kalita, Pompi Talukdar, Pragati Talukdar.
