Pokhara, Nepal, December 23, 2019: avalanche of snow has claimed one person in Kaski district on Wednesday.
Sanjaya Khanal, 18 of Pokhara metropolis-5 Parsyang has been identified as the decease. He had breathed his last on the spot. The incident had occurred at around 11 am on Wednesday.
In the avalanche of snow, Nirajan Koirala, 20 of Pokhara-5, Parsyang and Santosh Bastola, 20 of Pokhara-11, Phoolbari have sustained injuries. The injured were airlifted to Pokhara for treatment.
According to the police involved in the rescue operation, a lump of snow came along the Annapurna Trekking Route had buried the trio when they were on the way for the trekking.
The injured has been receiving treatment at Pokhara based medical college, Manipal medical college. The hospital has informed that the injured duos are out of danger.
