Kathmandu, Nepal: Bala Chaturdashi, one of the famous Hindu festivals, which falls on Mangsir Krishna Chaturdashi, is being observed across the country today.

Hundreds of thousands people have thronged in different Lord Shiva Shrines across the country including Pashupati area in Kathmandu to squirt the Satbeej (different seeds).

The family members, particularly the sons and daughters, squirt Satbeej and lit lights praying for eternal peace to the deceased on the day with the belief that the departed soul of their ancestors will have a place in heaven if such seeds are sown in the shrines of the Lord Shiva in the name of the deceased persons.
