Kathmandu, Nepal, April 19, 2022: Men's and women's basketball league is going to be held from coming May 21 and June 1 respectively. Nepal Basketball League (NBL) Pvt Ltd, is going to organize the basketball league.
Though the basketball league has to be held last year, it was postponed due to the spreading threat of coronavirus pandemic.
According to the organizer, the tournament will be a double round robin event on a home and away format. Different eight teams will participate in men’s event while five teams will participate in the women's event.
In the men's league, there will have a total of 56 matches and the women's event will have 20 games. The top two teams at the end of the league will vie in a qualifier and the winner.
The winners and runners-up in the men’s team will get Rs200,000 and Rs100,000 as cash prize while the winners and runners-up in the women’s category will get Rs100,000 and Rs50,000, respectively.
