Kathmandu, Nepal October 29, 2019: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said intra-party betrayal in the by-election would be intolerable and unforgivable.
NC president Deuba made the statement while speaking at a reception program organized by the NC district working committee, Bhaktapur at Dudhpati on Monday.
Intra-party betrayal like in the previous election would not be acceptable, Deuba said. There is no option than to arise above the factions and become united in the party, he said.
Recounting the upcoming by-elections as a mini mandate, Deuba also urged all the party cadres to work to ensure that the mandate is towards the Nepali Congress. Speaking at the same function NC Bhaktapur district chair Durlav Thapa accused the elected representatives in the district of working with land mafia to become rich rather than working for the welfare of the people and development of the district.
