Kathmandu, Nepal, March 1, 2022: Bir Ganeshman Singh (BGS) Sports Committee is going to organize three different sports events over two months starting from March 5.
The committee, which is under Ganeshman Singh Foundation, has announced so amid a press conference in Kathmandu on Monday.
According to Sanjeeb Tuladhar, the coordinator of the sports committee, National Fencing, National Boxing Championships and Road Race events is going to be organized in different dates.
It is said that National Fencing Championship will be held in both men's and women's category from March 5 to 7 at the Dasharath Stadium covered hall. Six teams from Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Province along with the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF) will compete in fencing.
Likewise, the Bir Ganeshman National Boxing Championships will take place from April 19 to 23 in Basantapur, Kathmandu. Altogether 10 teams including one team each from seven provinces and three departmental teams will take part in the event. Similarly, the Road Race will be held on April 30.
