Kathmandu, Nepal, September 28, 2021: A Buddha Air’s 9N-ANI plane that was flown from Kathmandu to Biratnagar at 8:33 am on Monday with 74 passengers and four crew members encountered serious technical glitches. As plane's landing gear encountered technical issue, it was flown back to Kathmandu with the motive of emergency landing after it did not become able to land in Biratnagar airport.
The passengers went through hours of trauma and panic after air hostess informed that the plane's landing gear encountered some technical issue due to which it will not be able to land in Biratnagar airport and was being taken to Kathmandu for emergency landing.
The plane had rounded up the sky of Kathmandu valley about two hours to reduce the fuel before landing in Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA). All necessary properness had made in the presence of security personnel. However, pilot becomes able to land the plane normally.
One of the two landing gear indicators did not illuminate at the time when it was preparing to land in Biratnagar Airport, Pratap Babu Tiwari, the General Manager of the TIA said. According to him, the landing gear system did not deploy when the plane was preparing to land at Biratnagar airport.
