Kathmandu, Nepal, May 8, 2020: The budget session of the federal parliament has begun at the federal parliament building at New Baneshowr of Kathmandu on Friday afternoon.
House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and National Assembly (NA) Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timalsina read out a letter received from President Bidya Bhandari about the beginning of the budget session of the federal parliament.
President Bhandari had summoned the budget session of the federal parliament in recommendation of the government in accordance with Article 93 (1) of the Constitution.
In the budget session, the government is going to announce its annual policies and programs on May 15 and fiscal year budget on May 28.
