Kathmandu, Nepal, December 27, 2022: The first cabinet meeting has decided to make easy and hassle-free the public service including the passport and driving license distribution.
The Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal called a cabinet meeting after assuming the office as the new Prime Minister on Monday evening. The cabinet meeting also decided to entrust Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Ravi Lamichhane as the government spokesperson.
Talking to media persons after the first cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Dahal claimed that his government had raised hope among the people. I have found that the formation of new government has raised hope among the people, he said.
As the government comprises the parties that have received clear mandates from the people in the recently-held elections, the government has raised hope among the people, Prime Minister Dahal said.
During the function, Prime Minister Dahal also vowed to work toward ensuring good governance, improving public service delivery and bailing the country’s economy out of crisis. The government would first focus on addressing the issues of immediate concerns to the people, he said.
