Kathmandu, Nepal, July 18, 2022: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has on Monday announced the names of four teams out of the six teams to take part in the first edition of the Nepal T20 League. The CAN officials have said that more two teams will be confirmed soon.
The newly announced four teams include as Kantipur Capitals, Biratnagar Super Kings, Janakpur Royals and Lumbini All Stars. The CAN had already announced that different six teams would take part in the league.
Nepal T20 League will be Nepal’s first official T20 held by CAN. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has already given permission to the CAN to hold the event.
The Can has expected that the tournament would be held on coming September. However, it would not be held on the scheduled date as an operator of the Everest Premier League has already filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court (SC) against of the CAN’s decision to hold the T20 league.
