Kathmandu, Nepal, June 28, 2021: The Canadian government has extended heath support to Nepal to help fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr Buddha Basnyat, Honorary Consul of Canada to Nepal, handed over the medical supplies to Dr Roshan Pokhrel, Chief Specialist at the Ministry of Health and Population, amid a brief ceremony held at Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday, states the press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Monday.
Responding to the request made from the Nepal government, Canadian government has sent a consignment of critical medical support to Nepal that include- 27 ventilators, 15048 face shields and 1,890 disposable gowns in a charter flight, states the release.
During the function, Pokhrel expressed his sincere gratitude to Canadian government on behalf of the Nepal government for the cooperation to help fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
