Kathmandu, Nepal, May 9, 2020: Responding to the scuffle of Friday between Chinese tourists stranded in Nepal and Nepal police, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu has urged its citizens to strictly abide by the laws of the land.

The Chinese embassy has made clear that it has concerned over the reasonable demands raised by its stranded nations but can do noting at the time of lockdown for their return in the country. 

The embassy has also reminded its citizens to cooperate with the measures, avoid unnecessary going out and wait patiently for the lift on flight suspension. 

China and Nepal can understand each other and jointly handle various incidents caused by the lockdown measures, states the press release.

A brief scuffle had issued on Friday when a group of Chinese nationals clashed with Nepal Police personnel around Singha Durbar premises even violating the restricted area. Following the scuffle police had arrested the Chinese tourists.
