Kathmandu, Nepal, June 5, 2020: Total numbers of coronavirus positive cases have jumped to 2912 after 278 new cases identified on Friday.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, of the total infected 2717 are males while 195 are females.
Likewise, coronavirus death toll has climbed to 11 after death of a 20-year-old youth from Panchapuri Municipality-1, Hansegaun, in Surkhet district confirmed coronavirus positive.
The man’s death has raised question over the effectiveness of RDT test as the man had returned home earlier on Wednesday after having tested negative for coronavirus. He was allowed to return home after RDT test showed negative for coronavirus.
However the man died on Thursday morning after suffering of similar symptoms of coronavirus. His swab samples collected after his death tested positive for the virus via the PCR method.
