Kathmandu, Nepal, May 12, 2021: Nepal's coronavirus infection tally has advanced to 422,349 after 9,238 new cases reported in the past 24 hours on Wednesday.

Likewise, death toll related to the coronavirus infection has advanced to 4252 after 168 more deaths recorded in the past 24 hours.
 
Of the newly infected cases, Kathmandu district alone recorded 3,250 infections cases. Likewise, 448 cases reported in Lalitpur and 226 Bhaktapur districts.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 9,238 new cases were identified while conducting 20,786 tests. Of the total tests, 20,362 were PCR tests while 424 were antigen tests. 

Likewise, 4,444 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours.  With the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 316,463.

There are currently 101,634 active cases across the country. Of them, 517 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
