Kathmandu, Nepal, December 7, 2020: The nationwide coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally has advanced to 241, 99 after 1,014 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. Of the newly infected cases, 442 were surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly recorded infection cases, 370 are females while 644 are males.
Likewise, 1,628 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 227,433.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 1614 after 20 more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.
According to the MoHP, 1,014 new cases were recorded while conducting 6,220 PCR tests in the last 24 hours. So far, Nepal government has conducted 1,790,739 PCR tests.
The country has now a total of 12,948 active cases of the coronavirus. Of them 527 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across the country.
