Kathmandu, Nepal, February 09, 2021: Coronavirus infection tally has advances to 272,215 after 160 new cases reported in the past 24 hours. Of the total newly infected cases, 61 are females while 99 are males.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 79 new cases recorded in Kathmandu valley alone in the past 24 hours. Of the newly infected persons detected in Kathmandu valley, 29 are females while 50 are males.
Likewise, 165 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 268,431.
Meanwhile, death toll related to the coronavirus advances to 2,047 after two more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 1,737 active cases across the country. Of them only 87 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
