Kathmandu, Nepal, June 18, 2021: Nepal has recorded 1,963 new coronavirus infection cases from across the country in the past 24 hours on Friday. With the addition, nationwide tally has advanced to 617,947.
Of the newly recorded infection cases, 508 cases recorded in Kathmandu valley alone. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly recorded infection cases in Kathmandu valley, 394 in Kathmandu district, 60 in Lalitpur district and 54 in Bhaktapur district.
Likewise, 4,020 people who had earlier infected with the virus have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 549,682.
Similarly, 44 deaths related to the coronavirus infection recorded in the past 24 hoours from across the country. With the addition, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 8,641.
There are currently active cases across Nepal 59,624.
