Kathmandu, Nepal, August 23, 2021: Nepal records 1,548 new cases of coronavirus infection cases in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, coronavirus infection tally has advanced to 748,981.

Meanwhile, 1,924 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged in the past 24 hours. With the addition recovery tally of the country has advanced to 700,097.

Likewise, 24 more fatalities related to the coronavirus infections, have been recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, mortality tally of the country has advanced to 10,533.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 11,326 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the total testes 8,704 were PCR tests while 2,622 were antigen tests. 

Similarly, 8,801,330 people have received coronavirus vaccine so far from across the country.  Of them, 4,943,732 people have received the first dose while only 3,857,598 have received second dose.
