Kathmandu, Nepal, October 20, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally has jumped to 139,129 after 3,093 new cases of the virus added in the past 24 hours.
 
The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has stated that of the newly reported coronavirus infection cases, 1702 were from Kathmandu valley alone. 

With the addition, total number of coronavirus infection cases has jumped to 58,972 in Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu valley has become hotspot for coronavirus infection in recent days. 
 
During the virtual press briefing held on Monday, Dr Jageshowr Gautam, spokesperson for the MoHP said 3,093 new cases were identified while conducting 13,861 real-time PCR tests.
 
Likewise, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus infect jumped to 765  after eight fatalities reported on Tuesday.
