Kathmandu, Nepal, January 30, 2020: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 270,854 after 109 new cases reported in the past 24 hours. Of the newly reported cases, 43 are females while 66 are males.

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed that   Kathmandu Valley alone reported 64 cases in the past 24 hours. Kathmandu valley has been reporting higher number of coronavirus infection cases since past few months. 

Likewise, 350 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 266,048.

Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 2,027 after two more fatalities related to the virus detected in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 2,779 active cases of coronavris in the country. Of them, only 109 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
