Kathmandu, Nepal, December 18, 2020: coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally of the country has advanced to 252,474 after 782 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
Of the total cases, 305 are females while 477 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, of the total newly infected cases in the past 24 hours, 278 cases were surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone.
Likewise, 1,029 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 241,392.
Meanwhile, death-toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 1,765 after 16 fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 9,317 active cases across the country. Of them only 427 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
