Kathmandu, Nepal, June 14, 2021: Nepal's coronavirus infection tally has reached to 610,521 after 2,049 more people tested positive for the virus from across the country in the past 24 hours on Monday.
Likewise, coronavirus recoveries tally of the country has stand at 536,252 after 5,147 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recorded in the past 24 hours.
Similarly, death toll related to the coronavirus infection has reached to 8,465 after 53 more fatalities recorded from across the country in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 14,819 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the total tests, 9,438 were PCR tests while 5,381 were antigen tests. So far, Nepal government has conducted 3,224,163 PCR tests since the coronavirus detected in the country.
There are currently 65,804 active cases of coronavirus infections across the country. Of them, only 531 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
The capital city, Kathmandu, has also witnessed sharp decline in the coronavirus infection cases since few days. According to the MoHP, only 396 infections cases were reported in Kathmandu in the past 24 hours on Monday. Likewise, 145 cases were recorded in Lalitpur district while 66 cases were recorded in Bhaktapur district, the MoHP has stated.
