Kathmandu, Nepal, May 14, 2021: Nepal's coronavirus infection tally has reached to 439,658 after 8,467 fresh cases reported from across the country in the past 24 hours on Friday.

Likewise, fatalities related to the coronavirus infection advanced to 4,669 after 203 deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

Of the infected cases, 2,458 cases recorded in Kathmandu district alone. Likewise, 556 cases reported in Lalitpur district and 335 cases reported in Bhaktapur district.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 8,467 fresh cases were identified while conducting 21,478 total tests in the last 24 hours. Of total tests, 20,948 were PCR tests while 530 were antigen tests, the MoHP has said. 

Likewise, 6,135 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 327,653, which is equal to 74.5 percent.

There are currently, 107,336 active cases across the country. Of them, only 516 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
