Kathmandu, Nepal, August 20, 2020: Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection cases tally reached to 29,645 in Nepal after 707 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, among the newly recorded 707 cases of coronavirus, 200 were from Kathmandu valley alone.
The new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed after testing 11,832 specimens through PCR method in the last 24 hours, Dr. Jageshowr Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry said during a regular press conference on Thursday.
According to him a total of 566,220 PCR tests have been conducted so far in Nepal.
Likewise, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus reached to 126 after six more fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.
