Kathmandu, Nepal, October 16, 2020: Coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 250,916 after 736 new cases recorded on Wednesday.
Among the newly infected cases recorded in the past 24 hours, 291 are females while 445 are males.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases, 391 cases were reported in Kathmandu Valley alone.
Likewise, 847 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 239,416.
Meanwhile, death toll related to the infection of coronavirus reached to 1743 after thirteen more fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 9,757 active cases across the country. Of them only 452 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across the country
