Kathmandu, Nepal, December 24, 2020: Coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 256,592 after 613 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Of the newly infected cases, 233 are females while 380 are males. Among the newly infected cases in the past 24 hours, 244 cases surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone, the Ministry of Health and Population, MoHP said.
Likewise, 739 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 247,400.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 1,808 after five more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 7,384 active cases throughout the country. Of them, 400 individuals have been staying in various quarantine facilities across the country.
