Kathmandu, Nepal, March 21, 2022: The ruling head Nepali Congress is going convene its Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting from coming Friday to take the decision whether to form electoral alliance with other ruling allies in the upcoming local level elections.

Though the CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist) and the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) wanted to form an electoral alliance with the Nepali Congress, it is still indecisive, thanks to the differences in the party.

Though the party president and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba seems positive to form electoral alliance with the ruling allies, some leaders of the party have opposed the idea stating that party should not form electoral alliance with any parties.

Meanwhile Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishow Prakash Sharma has hinted to give authority to the local bodes to take decision over the issue of forming electoral alliance with other parties. The center will not make a decision without consulting the local level and that the party will move ahead by reviewing the past weaknesses and good deeds, Sharma had said while talking to the media persons on Monday.
