Kathmandu, Nepal, August 14, 2022: CPN (Maoist Center) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and newly formed Nepal Samajwadi Party’s chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai have agreed upon to contest in the upcoming federal and provincial assembly elections scheduled for November 20 with the same electoral symbol.
The former colleague duo Dahal and Bhattarai agreed upon to this effect during a meeting on Sunday. However they have yet to reach on conclusion about the election symbol that they would use to contest the election.
As the five ruling allies- Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) CPN (United Socialist), Janata Samjwadi Party and Rastriya Janamorcha- have already agreed to forge electoral alliance in the upcoming elections, speculations are riffed that the election symbol of the Nepali congress, tree, would be used as a common election symbol of all ruling allies.
