Kathmandu, Nepal, March 3, 2021: Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has taken action against six leaders aligned with the opponent faction led by KP Sharma Oli including Subhash Chandra Nembang.
A central committee (CC) meeting of the faction held on Wednesday at Parisdanda asked Nembang to resign from the post of deputy parliamentary party leader.
The Dahal- Nepal faction took the action as a tit-for-tat move as the Oli-led faction had already decided to remove Dev Prasad Gurung, a leader belonging to the faction, from the post of party's chief whip.
Likewise, the meeting also took action against Bishal Bhattarai, Prabhu Shah, Mahesh Basnet, Shanta Chaudhary, Karna Bahadur Thapa and Surya Thapa from the party’s central committee meeting by removing them for six months.
