Kathmandu, Nepal, November 7, 2020: Executive chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reiterated his demand before another chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli to hold secretariat meeting as soon as possible to resolve recent differences emerged within the party.

During a meeting with Oli held at latter’s official resident at Baluwatar on Saturday, Dahal made the demand adding that majority members of the secretariat want to hold the secretariat meeting as soon as possible to resolve the differences of the party.

A informal meeting held among the secretariat members namely Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhala Nath Khaal, Bam Dev Gautam, Ram Bahadur Thapa and Dahal himself had decided to seek Oli’s consent to hold the secretariat meeting.

It is said that the meeting held among the dissident leaders also concluded to call the secretariat meeting even if Oli do not agree to call the meeting.

Oli, however, has been denying calling the meeting even challenging that he will take the meeting as of a declaration of split of the party if the meeting was called sans his consent.
