Kathmandu, Nepal, January 3, 2022: Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Prachanda has been reelected as the chairman of the CPN Maoist Center.
A meeting of the newly elected Central committee members held on Monday unanimously reelected Dahal as the chairman of the party.
The 236 member central committee that was elected on Sunday from the ongoing 8th general convention of the party decided to reelect Dahal as the chairman of the party for the next term on Monday.
However, remaining 14 members of the office bearers that include a senior vice chairman, six vice chairmen, a general secretary, two deputy general secretaries, three secretaries and a treasurer are yet to be elected. It is said that consensus attempts are underway to elect the office bearers.
