Kathmandu, Nepal, February 28, 2021: Pushpa Kamal Dahal, a chair of the Dahal-Nepal led faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has submitted a written clarification before the Supreme Court (SC).
Responding to the SC order to submit written clarification, Dahal reached at the Apex Court with written clarification on Sunday.
A single bench of Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma had ordered Dahal to submit a written clarification responding to the writ petition filed by advocate Sameer Hayu.
Advocate Hayu had filed a case of contempt of court at the apex court against Dahal for his remarks on the sub judice case of the dissolution of the lower house of parliament.
In the written response, Dahal has stated that courts can never be influenced by mass gatherings, slogans and statements made in the streets.
In the letter he has also expressed his faith towards the judiciary.
