Tulsipur, Nepal: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara has claimed that the constitution will be amended before the third phase of local level elections scheduled for September 18.
Speaking in a press meet organized by the Dang-chapter Press Centre on Monday, DPM Mahara said ‘the local polls in Province 2 would be held only after the constitution amendment.
DPM Mahara has claimed so in the mean time when there is no possibility of amendment in the constitution before the scheduled local level elections due to the denial of the UML to support to amend the constitution.
However, DPM Mahara claimed in the function that the main opposition CPN-UML would cooperate in the amendment process.
