Kathmandu, Nepal, July 25, 2022: An earthquake measuring 4.7 in Richter scale hit Sindhupalchowk district and surrounding areas on Monday morning.
 
According to the National Seismological Center, the quake occurred at 6.07 am and its epicenter was at Helambu in Sindhupalchowk district.

Shockwaves from the quake were felt in Kathmandu valley as well. The earthquake is believed as an aftershock of the Gorkha Earthquake.
