Kathmandu, Nepal, March 9, 2021: The Election Commission (EC) has asked the Nepal Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist and Leninist) chairman KP Sharma Oli and Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to come up with a new name and election symbol of the party if they want to merge the two parties again.
As the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) registered in the name of Oli and Dahal was nullified and revived the erstwhile CPN UML and CPN Maoist Center with the Supreme Court verdict of Sunday, the EC has on Tuesday asked them to this effect.
