Kathmandu, Nepal: The Election Commission (EC) has dragged into controversies after it decided to recognize the ruling party’s name as Nepal Communist Party (N C P).
The EC had decided to recognize the ruling party’s name as Nepal Communist Party (N C P) on Friday stating that the name was different from the Rishi Ram Kattel-led Nepal Communist Party (N.C.P.).
After EC rejected the Kattel-led Nepal Communist Party (N.C.P.) ’s application seeking rejection of the name of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (N C P), Kattel has challenged to move into the Supreme Court (SC) seeking justice.
Kattel, had already lodged a complaint at the EC against the ruling Nepal Communist Party (N C P) claiming that the ruling party mimicked the same name as Nepal Communist Party (N.C.P.).
