Kathmandu, Nepal, November 28, 2022: The Election Commission (EC) has instructed the political parties and candidates participating in the House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assembly elections held on November 20 to submit the details of the election expenses within 35 days of the announcement of the results.


Any candidates, who have submitted their nomination papers for the first-past-the-post electoral system, have to submit the details of election expenses to the concerned province and district election offices by separating the election expenses into different titles. 

As per the election law, the details of the expenses incurred during the election campaign should be submitted by the candidate themselves or through his/her representative to the election office within 35 days from the date of completion of voting, reads the directive issued by the EC. 

Likewise, the political parties that have submitted a closed list for the proportional election system must submit the details of expenses to the EC within 35 days of the announcement of the election results. As of the candidates, political parties also have to submit their detail election expenses by separating into different titles.
