Kathmandu, Nepal June 7, 2022: In view of the upcoming elections to the Provincial Assembly and House of Representatives (HoR), the Election Commission (EC) is going to start the collection and update of the voters’ name list.

Issuing a public notice, the EC has also appealed to the political parties and stakeholders concerned to assist in the voters’ name list collection and update program.


The EC has stated that those eligible voters as per the Voters Name list Act, 2017 could register their names from the Province Election Office, District Election Office, District Administration Office and Area Administration Office from June 15.

The collection and update of the voters’ name list was postponed from January 15 after the announcement of the local level election that was held on May 13.

With the decision, the eligible voters can not only to register their names in the voter list but also for the correction of the errors in registration, change their address and remove their name from the voters’ name-list as well.

The EC has urged all voters to update their details and register their name so that no one will be missed out in the upcoming elections.
