Kathmandu, Nepal: Following the cabinet decision of appointment of provincial chief and the capitals of the federal states, the Election Commission (EC) has on Wednesday announced the members of the provincial assemblies under Proportional Representation (PR) category.
Earlier on Wednesday the government had appointed the governors and the fixed the capitals of the federal states.
With the decision total 220 candidates are elected under PR electoral system from all seven provinces. The government’s decision regarding the provincial heads ad provincial capitals paved the way to announce the members of the provincial assemblies.
The EC has also asked the members to contact the office in coordination with their respective parties on January 19, Friday at 1 pm to receive the certificates as member of the provincial assemblies.
